History of Grama Panchayat

Thuravoor is a village in Pattanakkad block panchayat in Cherthala taluk of Alappuzha district. The total area of ​​Thuravoor panchayat is 19.18 square kilometers.The boundaries of Thuravoor Panchayat are Vembanad Lake to the east, Arabian Sea to the west, Pattanakkad Kuthiyathode and Vayalar to the south and north. There is participation from all wards in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Since it is an area with peeling sheds, there are also people who work in this sector.
